GPS Extension Antenna
The Gx data-logger comes standard with a GPS “thumb” antenna.
For pipeline survey work, it is recommended that the thumb antenna be replaced with the GPS extension antenna, which allows the operator to place the antenna on top of their cap (affixed in place via a piece of Velcro). This arrangement provides the GPS antenna with an un-shielded view of the satellites, regardless of the operator’s orientation.
