High Build/High Temperature Epoxy
Protects Pipelines, Joints, and Fittings
TC® 7030 High Build High Temperature Epoxy is a one coat, stand alone protection that exceeds all performance criteria for prevention of corrosion of above and below ground metal surfaces. This tough coating can be used for any general application including high temperature pipelines with a maximum constant operating temperature of up to 250°F (121°C).
TC® 7030 is an environment-friendly two component, 100% solids material that provides up to 30 mils of high build thickness for tough abrasion resistance to backfill and soil stress damage. This surface tolerant epoxy provides exceptional corrosion prevention for reconditioning pipelines, protecting joints, patching pipeline coatings, and covering irregular fittings and metal surfaces.
Color: Red. Additional colors available upon request.
Pot Life: 15 to 20 minutes @ 70°F (121°C) and 50% relative humidity
Max. Constant Operating Temperature 250°F (121° C)
VOCs: Zero
Mix Ratio: 3.6:1 by volume
No Red Label required
Surface must be clean and dry. Commercial blast to SSPC-SP6. Remove oil and grease with suitable solvent. Salt and other contaminants may be removed by high pressure fresh water cleaning.
Pour entire contents of Part B Curing Agent (small container) into Part A Resin (large container) and mix thoroughly, approx. 3-5 minutes.
Do not alter the amounts of A and B in the mixture. Apply epoxy by brush, pad, roller or spray.
Primer should be dry to touch before applying Tapecoat hot applied tapes or sleeves. As a stand alone coating, TC 7030 Epoxy provides superior corrosion protection above and below ground.
Specially selected Tapecoat reinforcing scrim can be applied over wet epoxy. After scrim is applied, apply a second application of TC® 7030 Epoxy.
Environment: Use only when the surface to be coated is above 40°F (4°C) and the relative humidity is less than 90%.
Application Surface Temperature: 40°-250°F (4°-121°C). Surface temperature must be 5°F (3°C) above the dew point to avoid condensation.
Cure Time: 60 to 90 minutes @ 70°-80°F (21°-27°C) and 50% relative humidity. Cure time can be accelerated by preheating the metal surface to 100°-200°F (38°-93°C).
Recommended Coverage: A single coat stand alone coating: 30 mils (.76mm) thickness, with a coverage of 53 sq. ft. per mixed gallon (m2/liter=1.23 m2/liter)
